Colombian crude steel production rises in April

Colombian crude steel production in April increased 28.4 percent, year-on-year, to 117,696 mt, according to the local committee of steel producers, CPA. Crude steel production in April dropped 12.1 percent, month-on-month, from 104,996 mt in March this year.

As for the accumulated period from January to April, local crude steel output totaled 428,904 mt, 16.8 percent up, year-on-year. CPA said local finished long steel production in the January-April period totaled 430,757 mt, 7.4 percent up, year-on-year.
