Colombian crude steel production increases in September

Colombian crude steel output in September slightly increased 1.2 percent, year-on-year, to 116,275 mt, according to the local committee of steel producers, CPA. Crude steel production in September rose 1.1 percent, month-on-month, from 114,925 mt in August 2019.

Longs finished steel production in September grew 9.4 percent, year-on-year, and 6 percent, month-on-month, to 118,248 mt.

As for the accumulated period of January to September, Colombian crude steel production totaled 1.02 million mt, 13.7 percent up, year-on-year. Colombian longs finished steel output in the January-September period rose 10 percent, year-on-year, to 1.02 million mt.
