Colombian crude steel production increases in February

Colombian crude steel output in February rose 7.4 percent, year-on-year, to 109,795 mt, according to a report from the local committee of steel producers (CPA). Local crude steel production in February increased 13.8 percent on a month-on-month basis, from 96,417 mt.

As for the accumulated two-month period, from January to February this year, Colombian crude steel production totaled 206,212 mt, 8.4 percent up, year-on-year.

Colombian longs finished steel production in February was 104,675 mt, 2.6 percent down, year-on-year. Colombian longs finished steel output in February declined 3.6 percent, month-on-month, from 108,634 mt in January this year.

As for the January-February period, Colombian longs finished steel production reached 213,309 mt, 7.01 percent up, year-on-year.
