Colombian crude steel production increases in December

Colombian crude steel production in December rose 3.6 percent, year-on-year, to 105,722 mt, according to the local committee of steel producers, CPA. Local crude steel output in December dropped 10.8 percent, month-on-month, from 118,618 mt in November 2018.

CPA said local longs finished steel production in December was 99,519 mt, 8.09 percent down, year-on-year, and nearly 9 percent down, month-on-month.

As for the full year of 2018, Colombian crude steel production reached 1.2 million mt, 3 percent down, year-on-year.

Colombian longs finished steel output in the full year of 2018 was 1.2 million mt, 7.5 percent down, year-on-year.
