Colombian crude steel production increases 23 percent in March

Colombian crude steel output in March rose 23 percent, year-on-year, to 104,996 mt, according to the local committee of steel producers (CPA). Colombian crude steel output in March declined 4.4 percent, month-on-month, from 109,795 mt in February. As for Q1, Colombian crude steel production reached 311,208 mt, nearly 13 percent up, year-on-year.

CPA said local finished long steel production in March was 100,177 mt, 7.3 percent down, year-on-year, and 4.3 percent down, month-on-month, from 104,675 mt in February this year. Colombian finished long steel output in Q1 rose 2 percent, year-on-year, to 313,486 mt.
