Colombian crude steel production increases 1.5 percent in July

Colombian crude steel production in July rose 1.5 percent, year-on-year, to 115,290 mt, the nation’s Committee of Steel Producers (CPA) said. Colombian crude steel output in July improved 9.5 percent, month-on-month, when compared to 105,265 mt in June.

Colombian longs finished steel production in July was 110,610 mt, 5.9 percent up, year-on-year. Longs finished steel output in July dropped 1.1 percent, month-on-month, when compared to June.

As for the accumulated period of January to July, Colombian crude steel output was 687,353 mt, 8.6 percent down, year-on-year. Accumulated Colombian longs finished steel production in the seven-month period was 729,240 mt, 6.4 percent down, year-on-year.
