Colombian crude steel production declines in October

Colombian crude steel production in October dropped 0.8 percent, year-on-year, to 107,562 mt, according to data released by the local Committee of Steel Producers (CPA). Colombian crude steel production in October rose 7.3 percent, month-on-month, from 100,206 mt in September this year.

Local finished long steel output in October was 105,340 mt, 10.9 percent down, year-on-year, and 2.5 percent down, month-on-month.

As for the accumulated period of January to October, Colombian crude steel production reached 1.01 million mt, 4.5 percent down, year-on-year. Colombian finished long steel output in the 10-month period was 1.03 million mt, 8.08 percent down, year-on-year.
