Colombian crude steel output increases 4.2 percent in October

Colombian crude steel production in October rose 4.2 percent, year-­on-­year, according to data released on Friday by the country’s Committee of Steel Producers (CPA).

CPA said local crude steel production in October was 108,424 mt, 21.6 percent up, month-on-month.

Accumulated crude steel output for the January­-October period was 1.05 million mt, 1.3 percent down when compared to the same period of 2016.

Long steel finished output in October was 138,080 mt, 15.5 percent up, year­-on-­year, and 16.5 percent up in the month-on-month comparison.

Accumulated long finished output for the January-­October period was 1.15 million mt, 3.2 percent up, year­-on­-year.
