Colombian crude steel output declines in March

Colombian crude steel output in March decreased 5.4 percent, year-on-year, to 99,258 mt, according to a report from the local Committee of Steel Producers (CPA).

Crude steel production in March fell 8.1 percent, month-on-month, from 108,106 mt in February this year. As for Q1, Colombian crude steel production reached 311,676 mt, 0.15 percent up, year-on-year.

Colombian long finished steel production in March was 87,531 mt, 12.6 percent down, year-on-year, and 21.2 percent down, month-on-month, from 111,185 mt in February 2020. Long finished steel output in Q1 dropped 3.4 percent, year-on-year, to 302,683 mt.
