Colombian crude steel output declines 23 percent in September

Colombian crude steel production in September fell 23 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Thursday by the country’s Committee of Steel Producers (CPA).

According to CPA data, crude steel output in September totaled 89,099 mt, dropping 17 percent when compared to August’s total of 107,451 mt.

Accumulated crude steel output for the January-September period was 948,951 mt, 1.84 percent down, year-on-year.

Long finished output in September was 118,490 mt, nearly 1 percent down, year-on-year, and 2.85 percent down, month-on-month.

Accumulated long finished output for the January-September period was 1.02 million mt, 1.75 percent up, year-on-year.
