Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has reported that it is about to complete the shipment of large diameter (LD) pipes for the terrestrial part of Lukoil's Vladimir Filanovsky oil and natural gas deposit located in the Caspian Sea. Under the contract, the shipment amounts to more than 65,000 mt of LD pipes.

These 559 mm and 711 mm pipes with wall thicknesses of 11.1 mm to 25.4 mm have a three-layer corrosion-resistant outer coating and are made from X52 and X65 steel grades at the plant's Vysota 239 workshop.

ChTPZ Group's pipes had previously been used for the offshore section of the Vladimir Filanovsky deposit. In 2012, ChTPZ delivered over 26,000 mt of 559 mm pipes with wall thickness of 15.9 mm for the project.
