Russia-based steel pipe producer ChTPZ Group has announced that it has agreed with Russian steel producer Severstal to update their scientific and technical cooperation during a meeting held with Severstal in order to sum up their cooperation during the current year. Accordingly, they have outlined ways for further joint development of corrosion-resistant steel and new steel grades for the production of welded pipeline parts at ChTPZ Group's Etherno plant.
According to ChTPZ Group's statement, during this year Severstal shipped over 21,000 mt of seismic-resistant rolled steel for the production of large-diameter pipes at ChTPZ Group's Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant within the framework of the Power of Siberia project.
At the meeting in question, Alexander Golodyagin, head of strategic cooperation at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, stated that ChTPZ Group and Severstal have determined to further improve their products in order to be leaders both in the Russian and the global pipe markets.
