China’s crude steel daily output exceeds 2 million mt in early April

In early April (April 1-10), China's average daily crude steel output reached 2.03 million mt, up 140,800 mt or 7.45 percent compared with late March (March 21-31), according to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA). The biggest increases in average daily crude steel outputs in the given period were recorded by steelmakers Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO), Hebei Iron and Steel Co. and Shanxi Province-based Jincheng Fusheng Iron and Steel Co. In particular, WISCO recorded an increase of 14,700 mt in average daily crude steel output in early April as compared with late March.
