China’s coke exports increase by 18 percent in Jan-May

In the January-May period this year, China’s metallurgical coke exports amounted to 4.0 million mt, increasing by 18.0 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In May alone, China’s coke exports totaled 660,000 mt, down 6.5 percent year on year, while decreasing by 29.0 percent month on month.

In the first five months this year, China’s coal exports reached 2.25 million mt, up 40.3 percent year on year. In May alone, China’s coal exports amounted to 310,000 mt, down 16.0 percent year on year, while decreasing by 43.6 percent month on month.
