China’s coal imports decrease by 9.2 percent in 2022

In 2022, China’s coal imports amounted to 293.204 million mt, decreasing by 9.2 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In December alone, China’s coal imports totaled 30.908 million mt, down 0.14 percent year on year, while decreasing by 4.3 percent month on month.
