China’s average daily crude steel output rises in early Jan from Dec

In early January (Jan. 1-10), China's average daily output of crude steel stood at 1.69 million mt, increasing by 64,100 mt or 3.94 percent compared to the average for the whole of the previous month, according to the most recent data issued by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).

Meanwhile, the average daily crude steel output volume in early January this year indicated a decrease of 9.17 percent as compared to China's average daily crude steel output in 2011.

In January, the average daily steel sales of all of the CISA's 76 member steel companies amounted to 1.09 million mt, decreasing by 338,300 mt or 23.68 percent from late December 2011 and down 15.34 percent compared to the average daily sales volume recorded in the whole of 2011.
