China’s auto sales likely to indicate a 25 percent decline in Q1 2026

Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), has stated that China’s auto sales will likely see a 25 percent decrease in the January-March period of 2026 compared to the October-December period this year, while remaining stable year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-March period of 2026, the new energy vehicle sales may increase by 5 percent year on year, while decrease by 36 percent compared to October-December period this year
