China’s auto output up 4.98 percent in Jan-Sept

In September this year, the total automotive vehicle output in China amounted to 1,660,900 units, up 3.67 percent year on year and 10.62 percent month on month, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
 
In particular, in the given month China’s passenger car output amounted to 1,352,800 units, indicating a month-on-month increase of 10.12 percent and up 6.10 percent compared to September last year; meanwhile, commercial vehicle output reached 308,100 units, up 12.89 percent month on month but down 5.78 percent year on year.
 
In the January-September period of this year, total automotive vehicle output in China amounted to 14,131,200 units, up 4.98 percent compared to the same period last year, including 11,367,100 passenger cars and 2,764,100 commercial vehicles, up 8.41 percent and down 7.13 percent, both year on year.
