Carpenter Technology hikes prices

According to the statement released by Carpenter Technology, the company has increased prices at its specialty alloys operations and specialty wire products units due to the higher costs and the strong demand. Accordingly, the base prices of premium-melted alloys have been increased by 7-13% effective with all new orders. Moreover, transactional prices of wire products have been increased by 9-12% effective for orders as of January 17, 2005. No change in the raw material surcharges has been announced.
