CAAM: New energy vehicle sales in China up 0.1 percent in January 2026

In January this year, production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China amounted to 1.041 million units and 945,000 units, up 2.5 percent and 0.1 percent year on year, respectively, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

The transition and adjustment of the new energy vehicle purchase tax policy affected NEV sales in January.
