Average seamless pipe prices in China soften in mid-April

In mid-April (April 11-20) this year, the average prices of 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe in China were recorded at RMB 4,271.8/mt ($696.87/mt), indicating a decline of RMB 1.7/mt compared to prices in early April (April. 1-10), as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics.

In the April 11-20 period, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were at RMB 3,375/mt ($550.57/mt), RMB 3,410.3/mt ($556.33/mt), RMB 3,522.4/mt ($574.62/mt), RMB 3,547.9/mt ($578.78/mt) and RMB 3,521.4/mt ($574.45/mt), up 1.8 percent, 2.3 percent, 0.8 percent, 1.4 percent and 0.3 percent compared to prices recorded in early April, respectively.
