In late August (August 21-31) this year, the average prices of 16-25 mm HRB400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plates, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,042/mt ($493.83/mt), RMB 3,126.3/mt ($507.52/mt), RMB 3,309.8/mt ($537.31/mt), RMB 3,386.1/mt ($549.69/mt), RMB 3,985.4/mt ($646.98/mt) and RMB 3,332.5/mt ($540.99/mt), down RMB 46.8/mt ($7.60/mt), RMB 70.9/mt ($11.51/mt), RMB 32.3/mt ($5.24/mt), RMB 35.4/mt ($5.75/mt), RMB 23.9/mt ($3.88/mt) and RMB 22.6/mt ($3.67/mt), indicating respective declines of 1.5 percent, 2.2 percent, 1.0 percent, 1.0 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.7 percent, compared to prices in mid-August (August 11-20), as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics on September 4.
