Spot market prices for US domestic API X-52 line pipe have not changed in the last week, however sources tell SteelOrbis that mill floor stock is depleting, leading to speculation that prices could rise in early Q1. For now, service centers in the Houston region are reportedly offering discounts on a customer-by-customer basis to deplete stock and avoid the year-end inventory tax in Texas.

Overall, most line pipe spot prices are still in the range of $49.50-$52.00 cwt. ($1,091-$1,146/mt or $990-$1,040/nt), ex-mill.

Import API X-52 offers from Mexico are also unchanged week-over-week, at around $46.50-$50.00 cwt. ($1,025-$1,102/mt or $930-$1,000/nt), FOB Texas.
