Prices within the US domestic and import API X-52 markets continue to trend soft, due to tepid demand levels and lackluster order placement.

As with last week, US spot market prices for API X-52 are still holding in the range of $49.50-$52.00 cwt. ($1,091-$1,146/mt or $990-$1,040/nt), ex-mill, however, sources have indicated that deals up to $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt) below this range are available from mills that are wanting to move stock material.

Import API X-52 from Mexico, sources note, is trending between $46.50-$50.00 cwt.  ($1,025-$1,102/mt or $930-$1,000/nt), FOB Texas.
