The Spanish seamless pipe market is currently quiet, while domestic and export quotations of Spanish seamless pipes have remained unchanged. Meanwhile, prices offered from Ukraine have decreased by a maximum of €20/mt over the past month, while import prices for Chinese seamless pipes have moved down by €25-50/mt amid currency fluctuations. However, Spanish buyers are reluctant to buy and are putting pressure on seamless pipe suppliers to cut their prices further citing weaker ferrous scrap prices. Market participants believe the Spanish seamless pipe market will continue to face weak business activity in the immediate future. However, seamless pipe suppliers hope to be able to increase their prices next month due to the anticipated seasonal upturn in demand.
