Turkey’s ship scrap market moves down again

Turkey’s ship scrap procurement prices have dropped again. The general price range has declined by $10/mt on the lower end to $340-355/mt as of today, December 11. This drop may be the last one for a while since deep sea scrap prices are now showing some recovery.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
