Over the past month, Turkey’s ship scrap purchase prices have remained stable, with the general price range still at $340-355/mt as of today, January 15. With deep sea scrap quotations moving down, Izmir-based producers are securing ship scrap flow to their yards, while exerting some small pressure on ship scrap prices.

In Turkey’s Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:

Producer

Price ($/mt)

Özkan Demir Çelik

350

Habaş

340

Ege Çelik

340

İDÇ

355

All the above prices are for delivery to mill by truck.
