On August 23, SteelOrbis reported prices for Indian domestic ferrosilicon (70-75 percent) at INR 66,400-67,500/mt ($928-944/mt) ex-warehouse in the northeast India region.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that domestic ferrosilicon prices have softened on weak demand and are presently at INR 66,400-67,500/mt ($926-942/mt) ex-warehouse in northeast India. Due to currency fluctuations, while domestic prices have remained stable despite a slight increase in demand, prices decreased $2/mt from both the bottom and top of the previous range. A source noted that prices may firm up with continued demand.
