On May 7, SteelOrbis reported prices for Indian domestic ferrosilicon (70-75 percent) at INR 70,500/mt ($1,012/mt) ex-warehouse in the northeast India region. Sources inform SteelOrbis that domestic ferrosilicon is now at INR 70,500-71,000/mt ($1,004-1,012/mt) ex-warehouse in the same region. Due to currency fluctuations, the bottom of the new range decreased by $8/mt while the top of the present range remained at the same price level.
