India’s domestic ferrochrome prices shift trend up

On July 3, SteelOrbis reported Indian domestic ferrochrome (HC 60 percent) prices at INR 64,000-64,500/mt ($930-937/mt) ex-works. A source recently noted that prices declined for the next three weeks to reach a bottom of INR 61,500-62,000/mt ($893-900/mt) on July 19.

Sources now inform SteelOrbis that prices have shifted slightly upward compared to the week ended July 19 and are now at INR 62,500-63,500/mt ($904-919/mt) ex-works. Compared to a week ago, prices increased $11/mt from the bottom of the previous range and $19/mt from the top of the same range. Present prices still remain lower compared to the level reported early in July.
