A few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have decreased their offers by $20-30/mt against the backdrop of the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments over the past week. Currently, ex-Turkey official equal angle offers have settled at $630-650/mt FOB for August shipment.
The SteelOrbis Turkish billet daily export reference price stands at $490-530/mt CFR, versus $505-530/mt CFR previously. “Although a few inquiries are on the table, the trading activity is nearly stopped. Most buyers are taking their time for new purchases and exert pressure for further discounts," one source mentioned.
