Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have raised their official export prices by $10/mt to $590-610/mt FOB amid stronger import scrap prices. Currently, official ex-Turkey equal angle offers are standing at $590-610/mt FOB, for February-early March shipment.
A few merchant bar re-rollers are even testing $620/mt FOB, while some merchant bar re-rollers are still applying aggressive pricing policies to generate sales and are giving sizeable discounts for serious buyers only.
The SteelOrbis daily Turkish import billet reference price stands at $440-480/mt CFR, stable week on week.
