The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $890/mt, stable from three weeks ago, CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In March, Brazil exported 34,500 mt and imported 26,300 mt of rebars against 39,000 mt and 37,400 mt in February, according to SECEX.
The exports of March were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (24,300 mt at $726/mt) and Gerdau (10,200 mt at $616/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Egypt (26,200 mt at $591/mt) and China (100 mt at $722/mt), also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 6,250/mt ($1,065/mt), also stable from three weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
