Over the past week, Turkish merchant bar producers’ prices have remained stable in the local currency in the Izmir and Denizli regions, with a decrease of $3/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing currency fluctuations. In addition, merchant bar prices in the Karabuk region have risen by an average of TRY 175/mt ($1/mt) week on week. One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 24,100/mt ($605/mt) ex-works today, July 1. The mill has raised its merchant bar prices by TRY 300/mt ($4/mt) over the past week.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in late July-August or from stocks, depending on the size.
