As of April 30, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their export prices stable at $640-650/mt FOB compared to April 24, for May shipment. According to sources, a few merchant bar re-rollers are still offering at even slightly above $650/mt FOB, but most international buyers’ firm bids are at around $625-635/mt FOB. As a result, trading activity is a bit slow these days.
Meanwhile, the SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $508-533/mt, versus $503-530/mt CFR, a week ago.
