As of May 15, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their export offers unchanged at $630-640/mt FOB for June shipment compared to May 8, amid the sluggish international demand. Sources report a few merchant bar re-rollers are attempting to increase their export offers amid costlier import scrap prices and even testing slightly above $640/mt FOB, however most international buyers do not seem to accept any price increases so far.
Meanwhile, the SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $510-540/mt, versus $510-537/mt CFR last week.
