Turkish merchant bar producers have kept their official domestic merchant bar prices stable in the local currency, with prices falling by only $2/mt on US dollar basis amid the ongoing depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. One Iskenderun-based mill issued its equal angle price at TRY 29,200/mt ($648/mt) ex-works today, April 29.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in May or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most local buyers are exerting pressure for further discounts.
