The reference price for the export of rebars by Brazilian producers is $850/mt, against $860/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In June, Brazil exported 9,000 mt and imported 7,100 mt of rebars, against respectively 29,500 mt and 10,200 mt in May, according to SECEX.
The exports of June were all destined to South American countries, shipped by ArcelorMittal (8,400 mt at $705/mt) and Gerdau (600 mt at $748/mt), FOB conditions.
The imports were from Egypt, (6,200 mt at $541/mt), Russia (800 mt at $532/mt), and Germany (100 mt at $1,753/mt, certainly not a market price, also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, rebars are offered by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 6,100/mt ($1,095/mt), stable in BRL from four weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s southeast and south regions.
