Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) has issued its steel product prices for April shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with March prices):
1. Hot rolled (HR)
The prices of SPHC, Q195 and SAE grade steel, automobile steel and gas cylinder steel products have increased by RMB 50 mt ($7/mt), while prices of Q235 steel grade products have remained unchanged. As a result, the prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SPHC grade hot rolled coil (HRC), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 x C Q235 grade HRC respectively are standing at RMB 4,040/mt ($638/mt), RMB 4,010/mt ($633/mt) and RMB 3,970/mt ($627/mt).
2. Rolled plate
All prices have remained unchanged. At present, 14-40 mm Q235A and 14-40 mm Q345A grade plate prices are standing at RMB 4,510/mt ($712/mt) and RMB 4,620/mt ($729/mt) respectively.
3. Cold rolled (CR)
The prices of cold rolled (CR) steel products have all remained unchanged. The price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel remains at RMB 4,690/mt ($740/mt).
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG)
All prices of HGG products with spangles have remained unchanged, whilel prices of products without spangles have moved up by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). The price of 1.0 mm DX51D+Z grade galvanized coil stands at RMB 4,750/mt ($750/mt).
5. All the prices of electro-galvanized products have remained unchanged.
6. Pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI)
All prices have remained unchanged. 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z grade PPGI is still priced at RMB 6,060/mt ($957/mt).
7. Tinplate
The prices of tinplate products are unchanged. At present, the prices of 0.24 mm MR tinplate coil and 0.28 mm MR tinplate coil stand at RMB 5,950/mt ($939/mt) and RMB 5,770/mt ($911/mt) respectively.
8. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
The prices of products of low steel grade and other product prices are unchanged. Currently, the prices of 0.5 mm 50ww600 and 0.5 mm 50ww800 NGO silicon steel are standing at RMB 5,660/mt ($894/mt) and RMB 5,320/mt ($840/mt).
9. Pickled steel
All prices have risen by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt).
10. H-beam
All prices have remained unchanged. The price of Q235200 x 200 mm H-beam remains at RMB 3,790/mt ($598/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are ex-works.
