Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (WISCO) has issued the price of its steel products for September shipment. The prices are as follows (comparisons being with August price levels):
1. Hot rolled (HR)
The prices of SPHC and Q195 have risen by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), shipbuilding plate has risen by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt), high strength HG 785 material has risen by RMB 400 /mt ($62/mt), 09CuPCrNi has risen by RMB 700/mt ($109/mt), and prices of other products have risen by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). The prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235 HRC currently stand at RMB 4,420/mt ($692/mt) and RMB 4,420/mt ($692/mt) respectively.
2. Rolled Plate
The prices of common carbon plate, low-alloy steel plate and quality carbon steel plate have risen by RMB 50/mt ($47/mt), prices for medium-temperature vessel steel have risen by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), prices for low-temperature vessel steel have risen by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt), the price of HG 70 material has risen by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), while the prices of other products are unchanged. The price of 20 mm Q235 plate is currently at RMB 4,480/mt ($702/mt).
3. Cold rolled (CR)
Prices have risen by RMB 120/mt ($18/mt), with prices of specifications above 1.0 mm rising by RMB 140 ($21/mt). The price of 1.0 mm Q195 plate is currently at RMB 4,810/mt ($753/mt), and the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C Q195 plate is currently at RMB 4,790/mt ($749/mt).
4. Galvanized
The price of DX52 has risen by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), the DX53 price is unchanged, while other product prices have risen by RMB 130/mt ($20/mt).
The prices of non-chrome and tri-chrome passivation products remain unchanged. The price of rerolled 1.0 mm DX51D+Z galvanized coil stands at RMB 5,353/mt ($839/mt), ex-works.
5. Coated products
All coated product prices are unchanged. The price of 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z color coated coil currently stands at RMB 5,353/mt ($839/mt) ex-works.
6. Tinplate
The prices of all products are unchanged. 0.24 mm MR tinplated coil currently stands at RMB 6,401/mt ($1,003/mt). The price of 0.28 mm MR tinplated coil is RMB 6,161/mt ($965/mt), ex-works.
7. Wire rod
The ex-works price of steel cord remains unchanged. Other wire rod product prices have increased by RMB 80/mt ($12/mt). At present, the ex-works price of 6.5 mm quality carbon steel stands at RMB 4,430/mt ($694/mt), while the price of 22A 6.5 mm cold heading steel stands at RMB 4,520/mt ($708/mt).
8. Grain-oriented silicon steel
Ex-works prices of all products have remained unchanged.
9. Non-grain-oriented silicon steel
The price of 50ww700 has fallen by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt), the price of 50ww600 has fallen by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt), while prices of other products have remained stable. The price of 0.5 mm 50ww600 stands at RMB 6,660/mt ($1,043/mt) and the price of 0.5 mm 50ww800 is RMB 5,940/mt ($931/mt)
10. Pickled Steel,
All product prices remain unchanged.
11. Heavy Rail
All product prices remain unchanged.
