A Brazilian exporter told SteelOrbis that hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) remain negotiated for export in a FOB price range of $770/mt to $790/mt, depending on the product grade.

The source mentioned that the price range, the same over two weeks, could increase over the next few weeks, but it would not be a significant increase. “The demand is strong, but the price is already in line with international prices,” he said.

In June, for price deals probably closed in April CSN exported 22,900 mt of HDG at $816/mt, Usiminas exported 16,100 mt at $892/mt and ArcelorMittal exported 3,000 mt at $846/mt, all FOB conditions. The main destinations of June were the US (25,000 mt) and Latin America (16,300 mt).
