The reference price for Brazilian hot dipped galvanized (HDG) exports to South American countries is $1,100/mt, against $1,050/mt four weeks ago, CFR conditions, having the G40 grade and 4.75mm thickness product as reference.
In November, Brazil exported 17,300 mt and imported 22,900 mt of HDG, against respectively 14,300 mt and 36,200 mt in October.
The exports of November were all destined to South American countries, of which 12,100 mt at $1,369/mt by ArcelorMittal, 5,000 mt at $1,667/mt by Usiminas, 100 mt at $1,329/mt by CSN and 100 mt at $1,618/mt by traders, all FOB conditions.
The imports were from Asia (22,400 mt, of which 21,200 mt at $1,003/mt from China) and 500 mt at $1,522/mt from Europe, also FOB conditions.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HDG is currently sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, to end users or distributors, at BRL 6,900/mt ($1,257/mt), against BRL 6,700/mt four weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.
