A source from a Brazilian producer told SteelOrbis that Galvalume exports to the US are currently negotiated at $930/mt, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product, stable from two weeks ago.

In April, Brazilian exports of Galvalume were limited to a mere 48 mt exported by ArcelorMittal to Luxembourg at $748/mt, FOB conditions, reflecting the focus of local producers on the more profitable domestic market. The reduced exports also reflect the reduced production at CSN, as ArcelorMittal and CSN are the only companies authorized by BIEC to produce Galvalume in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in April 16,800 mt of Galvalume from China at $736/mt, FOB conditions, against 16,400 mt at $757/mt FOB in March, plus small volumes of the product imported from South Korea and Hong Kong.
