A source from a Brazilian producer told SteelOrbis that Galvalume exports to destinations other than the US remain negotiated at $1,000/mt, FOB conditions, a stable reference price over the last four weeks.

In December, the Brazilian exports of Galvalume were limited to an export of 40 mt from ArcelorMittal to Paraguay, at a price level of $990/mt FOB, reflecting the preference of domestic producers to serve the domestic market.

The reference price for Galvalume in the Brazilian domestic market remains at BRL 6,030/mt ($1,603/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, with the AZ-150 grade as reference and sales by distributors in small volumes, stable in BRL over the last four weeks. Larger volumes or sales made directly by the producers are usually entitled to substantial reduction of prices.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in December 13,500 mt of Galvalume from China at $797/mt, FOB conditions.
