Brazilian producers remain negotiating Galvalume for export at $920/mt, FOB conditions, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

The reference price is stable since early February, the source said, adding that Galvalume exports remain of secondary interest for local producers, which are giving priority to local sales, where prices are currently at BRL 5,100/mt ($1,555/mt), ex-works, full taxes except IPI, with the AZ-150 grade as reference.

In February, Brazil exported 2,700 mt of Galvalume, all by CSN and destined to South American countries, of which 2,300 mt to Argentina, at an average FOB price $909/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in December 2017.

Pushed by the high domestic prices, Brazil imported in February 12,100 mt of Galvalume at $751/mt, of which 11,000 mt from China at $760/mt and 1,100 mt from Australia at $656/mt, all FOB conditions.
