A source from a Brazilian producer told SteelOrbis that Galvalume exports are currently negotiated at $1,040/mt, against $960/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product, a local exporter told SteelOrbis.

In January, CSN exported 8,700 mt of Galvalume to the US at $1,102/mt, FOB conditions, while small volumes of other coated products were exported by independent producers to South American countries.

Galvalume exports remain at marginal interest for producers, who are currently focused on the domestic market where prices are around the equivalent of $1,600/mt, full taxes except IPI, when considering sales by distributors in small volumes

In January, Brazil imported 22,500 mt of Galvalume from China, at $787/mt, FOB conditions.
