A source from a Brazilian producer told SteelOrbis that Galvalume exports are currently negotiated at $940/mt, against $1,050/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the AZ-150 product.

A second local source mentioned a reference of $910/mt, against $970/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions, for sales to non-US destinations, but it is not clear if the product is from independent producers or from CSN or ArcelorMittal, the only companies licensed by BIEC to produce Galvalume in Brazil.

In March no Galvalume exports were registered by the Brazilian customs authorities, although an independent galvanization plant exported 100 mt of aluminum-zinc coated product to Uruguay at $931/mt, FOB conditions.

Meanwhile, Brazil imported in March 16,400 mt of Galvalume from China at $757/mt, FOB conditions, and lower volumes of the product from Italy and South Korea.
