Zaporizhstal’s finished steel production up 8.9 percent in H1

In the first half of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal saw an 8.9 percent year-on-year rise in its finished steel product output to 1.67 million mt, while its crude steel production increased by nine percent year on year to 1.94 million mt, according to the company's results. In the given period, Zaporizhstal's pig iron output increased by 25.3 percent year on year to 1.79 million mt.

In June alone, Zaporizhstal produced 297,000 mt of finished steel products, 350,700 mt of crude steel and 337,100 mt of pig iron.
