Zaporizhstal's finished steel output up 2.9 percent in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period of the current year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal saw a 2.9 percent year-on-year rise in its finished steel product output to 2.5136 million mt, while its crude steel production increased by 2.1 percent year on year to 2.9337 million mt, according to the company's preliminary results. In the given period, Zaporizhstal's pig iron output increased by 6.2 percent year on year to 2.5504 million mt.

In September alone, Zaporizhstal produced 292,300 mt of finished steel products, 343,100 mt of crude steel and 338,900 mt of pig iron.
