Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output rises by 19 percent in Q1

According to preliminary results, in the first quarter of this year the Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 20 percent to 780,000 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 19 percent to 939,000 mt, both compared to the first quarter of 2010. 
 
In addition, in the first three months of this year, Zaporizhstal saw an 8.5 percent year-on-year increase in its pig iron output to 728,000 mt and a 14 percent year-on-year rise in its agglomerate production to 1.325 million mt.
